On April 28th I am going to walk in the 2012 LifeWalk to benefit CareNet. CareNet is a nonprofit organization that has served the community with complimentary services for 16 years.
CareNet is a life-affirming ministry whose mission is to impact and transform people with the love of Christ. They, through the help of many volunteers, compassionately serve women, men and families in unplanned pregnancies and offer them a meaningful alternative to abortion.
CareNet ministers in many ways:
*Through the pregnancy testing and counseling while meeting spiritual and practical needs - maternity and baby clothes, formula, diapers, parenting classes and medical ultrasounds.
*Through their M.A.R.Y. program they provide practical assistance and education for teen moms and first-time moms from pregnancy through a child’s 5th birthday.
*Through RESPECT Classes, they challenge teens with the message of sexual integrity, reminding them of their incredible value and worth as human beings.
*Through The H.O.P.E Program, they reach out to the church with the sanctity of life message and provide support to post-abortive men and women.
