“Focus on the Family arrived in Dickson on Tuesday, June 17, 2008 to make a ‘Site
Visit.’ This visit entailed thorough examination of our staff, board, and
infrastructure, plus an inspection of our facility. We were granted our request for an
ultrasound machine through Focus on the Family’s ‘Option Ultrasound’ Grant.”

“The ultrasound machine arrived in August 2008 and one month later Sonography
Now trained our nurses in ultrasonography.”

Dr. Julie Perrigin and Dr. Tom Miller have joined CareNet in the pursuit of life by
volunteering their services to read the ultrasounds and oversee the Medical Clinic.

CareNet Pregnancy Medical Center opened its doors for patients on October 20,
2008. Our clientele has almost doubled without any advertising at all!

On December 5, 2008 CareNet Pregnancy Medical Center celebrated with the community
in a BIG way! We had our official ribbon cutting at 10:00 a.m. The Board and Staff shared
with everyone the amazing handy work of the Lord! There were over sixty individuals who
visited throughout the day and were in awe of how CareNet was able to construct the
addition debt free!

Pregnancy resource centers across the United States are taking on a new identity. No
longer simply counseling centers, they are now becoming medical facilities as well, thanks
to a program called Option Ultrasound.

Developed and partially funded by Focus on the Family. 0ption Ultrasound was recently
implemented at CareNet Pregnancy Medical Center. Implementation came on the heels of
research supporting the effectiveness of ultrasound examinations in unplanned pregnancies.

After polling more than 800 women across the nation, a survey revealed that nearly nine in
ten women believe ultrasound access is a “very important” priority in women’s health.

For Christine Russell, CEO of CareNet Pregnancy Medical Center, Option Ultrasound
provides help that many women would otherwise go without. “For many of the women we
help, life isn’t filled with easy choices. But by providing state-of-the-art sonography
capabilities, CareNet helps ensure women have truthful information with which to make
healthy decisions,” she says. “With this technology we are now able to diagnose whether it
is a viable intra-uterine pregnancy and the gestational age of the baby.”

During the months of November and December CareNet preformed twenty-one pregnancy
tests. We believe our patient load will only grow. Think of spreading the news about
CareNet when you are talking to those in your church and businesses. We will need more
financial support in order to keep up the increased patient load.

Also, continue to pray for our nation; with a new administration that has a very “pro-choice”
agenda we are going to see new laws attempted very soon.
